After a bike tour we treated ourselves to a cold beer here. Since we didn't eat anything here and only saw the outside area, we cannot give a full 5 stars. But 4 very good stars, as the service was very nice. The outside area resembles a beer garden. It's fun to sit and people watch. We will definitely come back to try the dishes there.

We went to a birthday party in the Waldschänke. With distance! Outside the tables are set far apart. So the risk of infection should be pretty low. The staff wears masks all the time. The dishes are above average. They are also served in a timely manner. All around: I can highly recommend a visit to the Waldschänke. John

My friend, who was otherwise very culinary, was unfortunately not at all enthusiastic about the chanterelles on half-cooked roasted potatoes with canned mushrooms and a ready-made sauce from the bag (€ 18.80). Personally, I would have tasted the grated cakes with smoked salmon to a certain extent, if there had really been horseradish and not cranberries (horseradish was out, so I was served the fish with cranberries without comment.) Seriously ?? Fish with jam ??? To my amazement, the response was reproachful, if I don't want to eat it !? I ate it because I hate to throw food away and I paid an impressive € 14.80 for it. By the way, you get exactly 2 grated cakes with a diameter of 10cm. So we left hungry and broke this inhospitable place.

Great food, friendly service, great ambience

Was okay. The service was very hard. But since the boss was not in a good mood, the evening was somehow not so nice. On our table there was also adhesive residue from the barrier tape. We pointed this out but it was not removed. And even if there is a riding stable or many horses next door, this is no justification for so many flies in the house and on the ceiling. Especially since the boss didn't like it herself ...... But the food was okay.

Very bad, service completely overwhelmed, very long waiting time, the salad loveless and bland, did not taste good, brought without cutlery, completely overpriced for what was on the plate. Nice location but otherwise a disappointment.

You sit very nice, large outdoor terrace with adjacent horse pasture, unfortunately the playground is not very attractive for children, nice service, adequate menu.

The 2 ⭐⭐ relate (almost) exclusively to today's implementation of the corona rules. When we arrived there wasn't a lot going on, but that changed pretty quickly due to the great weather. The rules and disinfectants are clearly visible at the entrance to the beer garden. So far so very good. Unfortunately, there are also guests who overlook or ignore this. In order to be able to guide the guests properly, staff would be necessary. In that case, unfortunately, nobody was there. But then it starts with being assigned an uncleaned table .. Ergo you have the choice to stop and wait for the cleaning (it probably took 2 minutes) or you sit down at the uninfected table. Furthermore, none of the employees wear disposable gloves. Which then makes you ponder the wrong "delivered" cake. AGAIN, this recession relates to a snapshot of the Corona rules. and is meant more than a nice hint.

Nice restaurant with a nice beer garden and seasonal dishes

Waldschanke is located at the very edge of the forest, meaning the scent of nature and forest sounds is an ideal place to have coffee or any other drink on the naval terrace overlooking the beautiful horses and nature. Also pleasing and stylish is the interior interior. Parking space is guaranteed as well as very pleasant and helpful staff.
